Capability Questions:
Can I still use this app if I don't have an Android or iPhone? Are there any differences?
Yes, PRMtime Fantasy Apps has provided a "mobile web browser" specific site that will allow anyone with a web enabled phone to access the system and get a fast, easy to use and robust user experience. In order to keep the system fast, the web enabled phone interface is more basic, but has all the same functionality as the smartphone apps. To access this site, go to mobile.prmtime.com.
What new functionality does PRMtime plan?
PRMtime has approached most of the major game providers about direct links to their games systems for directly transferring scoring rules and roster data. In addition, additional data feeds are being considered such as live news feeds, player data, etc. Beyond that, we plan to listen to our customers to determine what the need is and provide the capability that our customers are requesting.
Will this app work in NFL playoff time? I enter some other contests at that time and wonder if this app will work for them?
Yes, PRMtime's system works throughout the playoffs. In addition, it will score teams for any type of league, commissioner, Salary Cap, challenge leagues, etc.
Setup Questions:
How do I add a new league and team to track?
You can create as many as 7 simultaneous leagues/teams to track in PRMtime's Fantasy Football 2011 app. Simply click "Create a new League" on the My Leagues page. Enter the scoring and roster data and begin tracking your new team.
Why can't I add more than 7 leagues/teams to track?
Because the development of PRMtime's Fantasy Football 2011 app is primarily centered around mobility via mobile phones, screen real estate becomes a limiting factor. PRMtime believes that 7 teams will satisfy most players who have multiple teams without making the screens too small or cluttered to be effective.
I want to join a league on your site. How do I join a league?
Public leagues are designed to be joined by the players who have been invited. Generally, the commissioner of the league must invite the team owners in the league to join and provide a password. The invited team owner uses the "Join a League" page to locate the team and clicks "Join". Entering the password provided by the commissioner validates your entry into the league and enters you into the league database.
Is there an easier way to get my scoring rules into the system? My commissioner usually does this for my league?
There are several ways to improve the ease of setting up scoring rules. First, and easiest is to get your league commissioner set up a public league and enter the scoring rules once for the league. Then, everyone who uses that league will use that league scoring rules and not have to set up rules of their own for that league.
The second way to ease the setup of scoring rules is to start with a set of pre-defined rules. For instance, if your league is set up under ESPN and your commissioner used the standard rules, you can select the ESPN default and you are done.
If your commissioner started with the standard set of rules and then made some changes to tailor the scoring to your leagues needs, you can do the same thing. You can start with the standard rule set and then you will only have to make small modifications to match your commissioners changes.
How do I add a player?
Adding a player to your roster is very simple. On the "Set Roster" page, follow these steps to add a player.
- Select the tab for either your, or your opponents roster.
- Be sure that the correct team/league appears in the drop down box.
- Use the "Position" dropdown and/or the "Search" textbox to limit the NFL players listed in the available players list.
- Scroll the list to the player to be added, select the player in the list and click "Add" to add the player to the Roster Picks list.
How do I remove a player?
Deleting a player from your roster is also very simple. On the "Set Roster" page, follow these steps to delete a player.
- Select the tab for either your, or your opponents roster.
- Be sure that the correct team/league appears in the drop down box.
- Scroll the "Picks" list to the player to be deleted, select the player in the list and click "Remove" to delete the player from the Roster Picks list.
Am I limited on how many position players I can have starting?
No, the system will allow all members of your roster to be scored if they are all listed as active. While this might be useful for reviewing how individual players are doing at any given time, getting scores that accurately reflect your teams performance in your game operators system requires that the active lineups match in both systems.
Is there a gametime deadline to get a lineup entered?
Because PRMtime's Fantasy Football 2011 is not a game but a value added app, there is no deadline for changing a lineup. In fact, a player could choose to change a lineup throughout the weekend to test "What If" scenarios regarding other players.
Why do I have to re-input my roster and lineup if it's already setup on my league website?
Currently, many league operators do not offer the ability to export scoring or roster information from their system. They desire to have players work exclusively in their system. Likewise, they do not provide a means to connect to their system and automatically share information (known as an API). As a result, users of PRMtime's NFL Mobile Live Scoring, must re-enter some data.
Fortunately, bulk scoring and roster data only needs to be entered once at the beginning of the season. Changes made during the season such as adding a player to your roster need to be changed in PRMtime as well, but these changes are usually very small changes in any given week.
We have made every effort to make the scoring and roster setup as easy and quick as possible to minimize the effort required in setting up this information in the system both initially and during each week of the season. In addition, PRMtime Fantasy Apps is working with the major league operators to get access to information through API's or export functions where possible and will update the system as operators make the interfaces available to us.
What input do I have to do on the website, versus what I can do from my phone?
League setup, scoring setup, and roster definition must be done on the website. Live scoring and moving players from the bench to active status and back can be done through the mobile interface. PRMtime will revisit this division of functionality from time to time as interfaces can be developed which will simplify the data setup functions and make them more easily accomplished on the mobile platforms.
Why are there points shown for a defense before their game has started?
Your defense will be showing points before their game has started if you have defined points for a shut out or 0 points against. Some leagues show the points ahead of the start, others do not show the points till the game starts. PRMtime had to choose one way to display the points.
